"When the Clumber Spaniel Club of America was founded in 1972, the members set out to restore a fine old English antique that had been sitting in the attic - dusty and ignored. This restoration has succeeded far beyond the original member's hopes. Not only is this antique still around, but it has proven quite useful in modern society. The club has recently begun to polish up the Clumber's ability as a flushing spaniel and to put this ability on public display at AKC hunting tests. It is a real pleasure to demonstrate that our breed has retained the hunting style that made it so prized in the large hunting estates of England, long before the advent of competitive field trials created a demand for the flashier English Springer." (Darrell Reeves)

The Nileea Clumber Spaniels have been a great joy to our family as hunting dogs in the Dakotas and Minnesota. They are great pheasant finders and work at a relaxed and steady pace. Our dogs enjoy working the field, participating in conformation, obedience, rally, agility and flyball.
